Bad health day, I could tell as soon as I woke up, but I was like "well maybe by tonight I'll feel better, I could drive downtown and stay in my car and watch fireworks". So I did the couple things I needed to do this morning then figured I'd rest in bed all day.

Then my dad came by unexpectedly to do some more work on the shed that I thought was as done as it was going to be until spring, and I helped out with that until after 5pm despite feeling crappy and exhausted already.

Soooo guess it's going to be me and Isabelle and Tom Nook in the plaza tonight.

Finishing up a fic.

Drinking and preparing to clean my sister's house tomorrow. And I found out today I need a new sewer line so, yay!

My friend came over and we played Trivial Pursuit, ate and drank. So much leftovers (both food and wine) for tomorrow. I always enjoy the day after a holiday. It's almost always a day off as well, and you can eat left overs and enjoy the decorations with no stress and no plans.

It's going to be frigid cold here and we have a chance of some freezing rain/drizzle. So I'm staying in with my family, had some pizza we'd ordered earlier, and am watching the "Twilight Zone" marathon and bumming around online :D. Maybe I'll have a glass of wine later if I really wanna party it up :p.

There's usually fireworks happening in my neighborhood so probably going to watch those from my bedroom window while consoling cats lmao. We're making garlic pizza rolls and drinking (...not the cats, the other people in my house lmao) and it should be a nice little evening. :3

Staying tf home. There's way too many drunks/cops pulling ppl over looking for drunks on the roads today.

Not to mention the drunk cops.

Well its just gone midnight here in the UK; just watched the count down on tv with my Dad and drank some brandy for the new year.

Finishing a chapter of a fic and then working on a one-shot due Jan. 3. That's... barely... started.

... At least I'm off work until the 4th so I'll have time.

Fic chapter finished, so I'm going for a shower and then going to write some more.

Still have the flu. Just ate oatmeal for dinner. I'm really hoping the fireworks aren't too bad here, because I just want to sleep.

Right now we're watching the Call the Midwife Christmas special. I was watching the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe (first movie version) a while ago.

not a goddamn fucking thing. once I finish my rum I might just go to bed.

I did some productive cleaning earlier but then I hit a wall. going to bed is the only solution.

Cleaning. Low-key chilling in my home with immediate family. Gonna zoom with extended family as the celebrations were paused since a family member caught COVID (so everybody is quarantining). But I'm glad I'm not going to anyone's house this NYE. :)

I went over to my sister's place and we ordered pizza.

Getting my 7 miles of walking in, for a total somewhere north of 2,555 miles for the year, then staying up cleaning with a movie on for background noise until midnight or I pass out on the sofa. My house won't be clean by tomorrow because I'm an awful slob, but it'll be cleaner than it is rn.

Sitting around, trying to keep from crying because I just found out my nephew has COVID and since my brother's recovering from cancer surgery, he had to check himself into a hotel room for the time being! I'm watching stuff on Netflix to keep myself occupied.

Working, and since we're currently closed to new clients, that means not much. I'll be here until 7am, and hopefully the freezing rain/wintry mix slated to fall in the early hours won't actually happen until I'm home.
*fingers crossed*

Thankfully, I go into the new year with a new windshield scraper; no more using the edge of a CD case!

tried to sleep on an increasingly uncomfortable hospital bed with fireworks going off right im front of the hospital grounds.
