NAYRT--This is the bit I don't get. Ao3 explicitly prohibits the monetization of fanworks on the site so unless OP wants to ban fanfic from existing at all because fans playing in the sandbox of other peoples'/companies' IP makes them feel violated (Hi, Diana, you old Dr. Who character-stealing hypocrite, you!) idk what their beef is.

Especially as FF.net and Wattpad are also massive fanfic archives and Wattpad especially is fucking terrible at protecting writers' works.

I hope they're a troll because otherwise their hate-boner for Ao3 is taking up mental energy that could go toward creating original work.
