... not even Cory Doctorow, who has published works under a creative commons license, believes that, and he's not affiliated with Ao3.

Tell you what, why don't you print, bind, and sell copies of the Temeraire series, the Scholomance series, Uprooted, and Spinning Silver, and see how fast Naomi Novik shuts you down?

I think you're either trolling, misunderstand what Ao3 actually stands for, or both. Allowing fanworks=/=taking creative control away from writers, wtf.
