Same boat! I wasn't big on it but I thought it was a cute ship. But then...yeah, fandom. I couldn't escape it and I don't even interact with SPN circles.

Also an aside: fandom ruined my enjoyment of the characters individually as well.

That happens a lot to me. That's how I stopped shipping Tenth Doctor/Donna. The fandom was rather awful. The SPN fandom in general got so bad I avoided it even before I got tired of the show.

I shipped the hell out of them and had a pretty fun time in the fandom, but had to step away from it for a while after the finale. I hated the ending and I still think it was stupid, but the anger in the fandom was reminding me too much of the Johnlock conspiracy and I didn't want a repeat of all that drama.

Eh. I still enjoy it, though I'm a Wincest girl at heart. Never let fandom ruin the fun; that's what unfriending and blocking is for.
