I'd have to see it to believe it. It's my favourite Shakespeare play, but every modern adaptation I've seen has been awful. The turning point where Claudio spurns Hiro in public for her supposed infidelity is horrendous in a modern context.

I appreciated that the BBC ShakespeaRe-Told version just changes the end. Hero tells Claudio that it's lovely that he's sorry, but it's not enough. She rejects him and leaves to find a new job.

I didn't realize until I watched it how badly I needed to see a version like that. Pretty cathartic.

OP is talking about the 2010 TV remake.

Although it's possible that they're remaking it again. I know Besson (ptui, ptui) remade the movie again in 2019 (albeit with a different name).
