i dunno, snapewives have always been around haven't they? it's really no different than writing down your personal fantasies and sharing them with other people who might enjoy them. it's kinda cringe and not something i would personally do but it's very common for teenage girls and early twenty-somethings to do this.

i say just let them have their imaginary friends and their fantasy life and forget about it. whether or not they would benefit from therapy (everyone could benefit from some therapy, quite frankly) isn't really your business. plus therapy is not an option for everyone.
