any trans headcanons. as a trans person i'm just so tired of it because 9 times out of 10 it feels like it's done for purely fetishy reasons and if that's your thing that's fine? but don't go trying to pretend that you're doing it for actual rep, just own up to the real reasons behind it.

I’m also trans and yeahhhhh this. Especially bc it would just involve very stereotypical stuff like going to try on binders together or whatever.

I only (sometimes) like them when they’re written by other trans people, and even then… mixed bag lol

yeah i have a very hard time believing that many trans headcanons are written by other trans people because so many of them are just so wildly divorced from the actual experience and feel like people writing about what they THINK the trans experience is like rather than from... actual trans experience.

As a cis person who generally leaves trans headcanons to trans people (as in I don't think them up myself) we must have different fandoms because most of the trans headcanons I see are from trans people who admit they're doing it for self-indulgent reasons and just want to write a character they like being trans like them. Cis people using stereotypically fetishy reasons to headcanon a character as trans sounds very ten years ago.
