I agree with you because I love Richard Ayoade (even though it always strikes me as he's inwardly hating stuff like BFQ, but that's perhaps his act) and less Jonathan Ross is always a good thing.

It is Jimmy Carr's look or how he holds himself? I think his hair now has made him look closer to his actual age but I'm sure I read a bunch of stuff about his strained relationship with his dad recently. Maybe that sort of stress is showing through more now he has a child of his own, idk.

I just get tired of Richard Ayoade in something like BFQ. For me, it’s a bit long for his “doesn’t want to be here” attitude. My favourite thing he does lately is occasionally hosting HIGNFY, although that C4 show he hosts is decent.

Jimmy Carr does seem a little tired and/or stressed lately. Feels pretty relatable, to be honest.

BFQ can be a little long for his schtick if it doesn't get broken up much, but if they have a good foil for him, I enjoy it.

I enjoyed Ross more than I usually do for this recent BFQ, but that's not saying much.

I'm not against people doing whatever they want with their appearance, but taken together, the teeth, the hair, the vibe, Carr reminds me of people I know who feel like they're getting old and its freaking them out?

I love Ayoade, but it really depends on who he's paired with and who else is on the show for him to play off of, because he sticks being in-character. Ross is able to riff more broadly as a response to the material and his friendship with Carr usually leads to a lot of on point ribbing between them.

It was also sad but cathartic that Charlie's fears were correct all along, and at the end his negative feelings were just as valid.
