I too have never heard of this, but if I may add a little spin to it -- Bucky was so charming and sociable that anyone who might have batted an eye at that profession general waved it off. Because pre Hydra Bucky was a sauve smooth talking charmer with the looks to back it up. He strikes me as the kind of guy who was friendly with all sorts if people, but his true ride ir due was Steve.
