As I told OP downthread: have you asked your doctor or clinic about a hormonal IUD? Total game changer for me. I was ready to cut everything out with a rusty spoon.

Well, first I'd have to have a doctor or clinic. ;) Last GP I saw basically told me I was making up my gastrointestinal issues and there was no point in seeing me again about them... and he was the latest in a long line of doctors who said the same. I've pretty much given up on anything medical at this point.

And being asexual/virgin/ex-fiance to an also ace AFAB, and since nothing about my period has ever been weird, I've never really needed to see a gyno. But I suppose at my age I probably should at some point. Mostly just for a check though, I have such terrible reactions to even innocuous meds that I only rarely risk introducing anything to my body unless I can't function. :/ But I'm glad it helped you, and that you're getting the word out! I have known an awful lot of people who suffered more than "I don't like bleeding and I don't like having to spend money on pads".

Well, if you're in the US, Planned Parenthood will hook you up. And they're not assholes like most medical people are. I hear you on that one, big time.

True - and I'm in a state where freaking conservatives haven't ruined PP (yet). That is an excellent suggestion that I will have to look into when we're not in a raging pandemic. (Further limits me doing anything about, well, anything, since "adverse effects to the most innocuous meds" means vaccinations are risky for me too.)

Thanks! I seriously didn't even know where to begin looking for someone reputable, it had never occurred to me.

My kid tells me they are very good about being gender affirming, too. They will do all your reproductive system related medical stuff and they're very kind -- I've had to go in a couple times when something awful has happened and just felt very cared for there. I hope they can help, nobody should have to deal with disabling menstrual stuff.
