Some basic things to consider are: What was the characters' relationship like pre-pollen? Friends? Strangers? Casual acquaintances? Arch nemeses?

Were they both hit with it, or just one of them? If just one, did the other one know they were pollinated at the time?

Is sex pollen something either of them would have had on their radar before it happened? (i.e., are they in a universe where this sort of thing happens regularly? Or one where this sort of thing happens, but only to other people? Or is it like, NCIS: New Orleans?)

The answers to these kinds of questions really depend on your characters and on the type of story you want to write. The basic options are angst, fluff and porn, but you can mix and match those, depending on what you're going for.
