The great thing about posting fanfic is that you can tag for it and also writing an author's note at the beginning to help put things into perspective that X and Y in the fic are wrong to prepare your reader's, if you feel that's necessary. I do it all the time if I feel the tags don't suffice as a warning. Most of the messed up stuff I write isn't idealized unless unreliable narration from a character counts. But usually it's pretty obvious even then. At least IMO.
