I didn't learn it fangirl style~ I'm only in my second year of japanese, and we learn it the most painfully formal way in order to avoid being rude when we go to Japan, thus the many DESUs.

When introducing myself I go "Hajimemashite, watashi wa 'name' desu. Doozo yoroshiku."

It's just the way I learned. AND I HAVE BAD HANDWRITING IN ANY LANGUAGE XD
DEAL WITH IT.

Atleast I can write in it, badly, but YOU COULD TELL IT WAS JAPANESE. You totally could.

JUST YOU WAIT! I WILL IMPROVE~

BENKYO O SHIMASU~ AND NO, I HAVE NO PROGRAM THAT ALLOWS ME TO SEE CHARACTERS ON MY COMPUTER. And I like capslock. So sue me T_T

And on another note I've wanted to learn Japanese long before I even knew what on Earth anime or manga was because of the job opportunities it offered, and thus it can't be fangirlish, can it?
