There are game settings that are dumb action settings, so it seems like a game setting could be a dumb porn setting. But it’s true that stuff like Slablands or Portals of Phereon feels like the sex is just there. It’s not really integrated into the setting in a way that makes sense.

Flexible Survival arguably pulls it off, but Flexible Survival is offensive in almost every possible way, so you need to get into a specific headspace to deal with its bullshit. (Seriously, the only thing it doesn’t have is necrophilia.)

Writing as someone that plays horny games and games with horny mods: It's fun, and it's fantasy. It's fun fantasy.

It's one of the things that's easier for me to turn my brain off about. It's one of those acceptable breaches of reality. People in that world just accept men and women can dress with very little and be just as powerful and/or protected. And, some societies are just depraved enough to have a lot of sex, it can be a legitimate part of their worldbuilding.

Mind, I was shocked as hell to find out there were horny mods for Stellaris of all games. But, then I realized, if you can be a world-builder for a general world, you can be a world-builder for anything you can imagine. Even horny worlds you can deliberately mod and immerse yourself with (pun not intended).

I'm more into skimpy armors for both men and women in my mods, alongside some niche kinks because I like seeing lighthearted adventures with romance, sex, and other stuff that I like. I don't have my immersion broken, so much as thinking I designed the world to make it the way I want.

Honestly, that kind of game would make me laugh -- heavy lore I'm trying to take seriously but then sexy situations just occur throughout gameplay...lol it'd be great if it was a gane that doesn't take itself too seriousky, knows what it is, and runs with it, having fun.

If it makes sense in context, then I can see the appeal. It's something that you don't have to think too hard about and can serve as a "break" from the actual gameplay. It can also be a form of Roleplay or realism if it's a RPG or the a Sims-like game.

of all the reasons I could see not using sex mods in a game, "immersion" is not even on the top 20. If you genuinely can't wrap your brain around the horny, OP, I genuinely can't wrap my brain around anyone who gets so immersed in the game that they forget who they are, or want to put themselves in the MC's place, or whatever defintion you have for immersion.

it's a game. i'm not in the game. I'm not the MC. I'm not any of the characters in the game. I'm sitting here with a controller making porn. And it's awesome porn with all my kinks, viewable only by me. where does immersion enter into this?

I don't see why they would necessarily ruin the immersion. I don’t know much about the wider world of sex mods, but I play Skyrim with some, and you can make that as reasonable or ridiculous as you want. For example, having sex with your spouse makes sense. There are pregnancy mods too, so you can RP having biological children where the unmodded game only has adoption.

Of course you can also just mod the game into a horny mess where everyone is dtf. That's not so immersive, but then again after you’ve played the game through a couple of times, it doesn't need to be. That's why there are also a lot of goofy sfw mods out there.

Adding balloon tits to my Skyrim character and making them bounce with physics mods was very immersive.
