He's clearly a terrible human being. I'm glad he's been found out, and I hope he never works in Hollywood again. But I still enjoy many of the works he did, and Buffy in particular had special meaning for me. I'm not willing to give that up. Not going to buy anything official anytime soon, don't want to give him any money. But personally I'm going to keep loving Buffy in spite of its terrible creator.

I think that's a great way to think of things! His work still has been very influential on tv and movies today, and you should continue to enjoy the things you like.

But hey, maybe I'm from a group of weirdos, considering I'm part of team "you guys know I can criticize things I like, right," and people don't always seem to get that.

I think that's totally fine. A lot of awesome not abusive people worked on Buffy too and made it what it was.
