I don't disagree which is why I don't understand what the girls in the Yule Ball were supposed to be dressed like.

No in the book. I think I'm just supposed to assume more about what's under the robe than I do actually assume. I don't see how just a dress robe isn't very exposing.

If over a particularly strong-winded grate a la Seven Year Itch or kickin' the robes up with a jaunty dance, yeah probably.

But wouldn't the same be true of dresses? I mean you use the example of Seven Year Itch and Marilyn Monroe isn't wearing a dress robe there
