All of the above, but specifically in romances, it's about how a certain type of girl is better suited for attractive "good" men than other girls, usually because they have balanced femininity with some other desirable trait (usually something described positively more of men more than women imo).

It's about pushing other girls down to make the character look superior, not about a character's actual compatibility with another character.

Or, IRL, pushing other women down in order to make one's self feel superior.
