Diva cups are the best method for handling menstruation ever and I'll never go back but I miss the feminine bonding of giving another person a spare hygiene product on a bad day.

No, Diva cups are used over and over again. I don't know if it's the *most* comfortable, but it's the one I use and it's never caused me discomfort. It think the comfort level of each menstrual cup depends on the individual user.

I use a reusable cup but also always still have tampons in my "emergency kit" just in case. (That's a fancy term for an old mint tin that now contains all the 'oh lord, what if I/a friend/a stranger randomly need one of these in a hurry' items and permanently lives in my purse: tampons, ibuprofen, band-aids, condoms, q-tips, bobby-pins, hair-tie, matches, paperclips, safety-pins.)

I think it's great we have different options now and that so many women are happy with cups but (not saying you're doing this, just in general) I hate how insistent some of them get about how cups are the only way to go and everyone should totally use them, no matter how many times you tell them it's not an option for you.

I'd recommend everyone try once because they've really helped me, but I figure people know best about what goes up into themselves and I'm sure as hell not going to push on that front. Evangelicals of any sort are rarely fun to be around.
