Taxes!

I just finished mine. Are you one of those who waits until the last minute or do it ASAP? Do you use a program or have someone do them?

I like doing mine as soon as all my paperwork comes in. I use TurboTax, but I won’t be able to do them for free through them this year, so I’m gonna look for other options.

As soon as I get my papers I have always made a habit to set them aside to do as soon as I can get the 1040 forms and whatnot...

...And then ended up the night before the deadline driving all over town trying to find somewhere that has them.

So I started doing them online a few years back so I don't need to acquire paper forms! ...And I still set them aside, then the day before the deadline am trying to remember where I set them aside. At least it only takes like 10 minutes since one adult, one job, no dependents.

I'm focusing on the two big hearings I have coming up in the next few weeks. After that, I will do them.

The last couple/three years i did them like the *day* i got my W2 (I do them for free online, super-simple W2) and every fucking time, they were delayed for some dumb-ass reason or another - the last time until AUGUST, as they claimed they didn't have a copy of...my W2, even though I'd sent like three.

So this year, i have all my W2s right now, but I'm waiting until next week. My bff always does them that week, and seems to get hers super-fast every time, no hitches, so....fingers crossed.

I like to do them as soon as possible. Unfortunately, 1099 G forms are delayed in my state so I can't do them until the end of February.

Mine are complicated enough this year that I'm having a professional do them.

Last minute baby! I'm talking minutes to midnight! Mine, other family members (unless they bring me their docs early) but I think I'd like to do it sooner.
