Fandom: Babylon 5

I'm honestly looking forward to the Babylon 5 remake. JMS is still at the helm and I think he'll deliver something amazing. I understand why people are disappointed to not get a sequel, but that's impossible with half the cast gone into the Great Beyond. It just wouldn't be the same. I think starting over is the best choice here.

Me too. I really hope the remake has different characters because I can't see some of those roles being filled by anyone else. But I'm still excited about the remake.

We had a bunch of B5 sequels already, none of them really took off. I just hope JMS remembers to include the charm, and to keep the lights turned on this time.

I think a Bab 5 sequel might work if they did like Star Trek Next Gen and had different characters and it takes place in the same universe but a different time period.

Well JMS tried that with Legend of the Rangers, the direct to DVD movies. There was no interest. And you can't move the story too far forward, because then Earth gets taken over by fascists for realsies, and they nuke their own planet literally back into the mediaeval period. After that you have to jump forward a million years until humanity becomes Vorlons. It is all in the S4 finale.
