I don't think Company works in the modern day in any case for any gender (it's perfectly fine to just want to date forever and the insistence from Bobby's friends that Bobby's missing out comes off as envious projection), but I think women being unwilling to marry men is far more reasonable when marriage is still so uneven for them so I can't get into this revival. When Bobby asks what does marriage get her, I'm wanna say "Statistically nothing good!"

I'd believe this was more about a personal vulnerability issue if Bobby was gay or bi or queer, and I wish they had made it even more gay.
