A few people have asked me why I wanted to play hockey in my ice skating/hockey lessons and at stick and puck sessions despite not actually watching a lot of NHL or following any team. I tell them I really like skating fast but tbh a not insignificant part was due to really enjoying hockey RPF. People always deride RPF but in this case it's led me to meeting a lot of amazing people in the hockey/figure skating community.
