I love all of Jane Austen’s works, but I will be forever bummed that Lady Susan isn’t as popular as Pride and Prejudice. They’re completely different stories, so I know the comparison is apples to oranges. And I would never say I wish it were more popular than Pride and Prejudice, because I honestly don’t think I’d ever want that. Pride and Prejudice is so good, and deserves all of it’s popularity and appreciation. But do I wish Lady Susan was as universally beloved and recognized, not to mention as culturally significant? Hell yes! I need more eyes on this amazing novel!
