Forever mentally tripping over if Yu Yu Hakusho is pronounced Yu Yu Ha-ku-sho(u) or Yu Yu Ha-ku-sho(w).

well, the O phoneme in Japanese is just straight up o (oh)...unless you've been thrown either by the dub throwing a long w onto the end sometimes or by seeing the romaji (ou is not pronounced the way english pronounces ou in any sense, it's just a really long OH).

Correct.
In the case of Yu Yu Hakusho, though, there is no long OH at the end.
In Japanese it's written 幽☆遊☆白書 and transliterated in romaji as Yuu Yuu Hakusho. No final U, thus no final long O. In this case, the stress is on the final O, make it sound more like Hakshò (where the middle U is almost muted and the stress in on the last O).

Don't sweat it, OP. You're fine as long as other people get what you're talking about. :)
