I mean, you can be against one tradition or aspect of a religion that without hating the religion itself. Maybe AYRT was truly using coded language, and you’re right about them, that’s possible. But it’s also possible that they just hate circumcision without having anything else against Judaism or Jewish people.

Or maybe I just think cutting off small childrens' body parts for no reason is vile. Sorry you think that's cool and everyone who doesn't like it uses "coded language and dogwhistles" to be antisemitic. I'm also very much against doing this to children out of misguided hygiene or cosmetic reasons but that's not really a thing where I live and also, this wasn't the topic here.

I also hope you call everyone being against FGM Islamophobic while you're at it. Since you think it's so fucking great to be cutting off parts of childrens' genitalia.

FGM isn't an integral part of Islamic teachings. It is carried out by a number of ostensibly Christian groups in Africa too. So it isn't a Muslim thing. Attempting to link it inextricably to Islam, is Islamophobic however. I would also judge very hard someone who attempted to deflect a topic into whatabout them Muslims cutting off girl's bits as being Islamophobic, because they don't actually give a damn about the issue. They either want an excuse to rag on Muslims, or they want to deflect from valid criticism of their own religion. I hope this helps you.

It's entirely irrelevant whether it's an intrinsically Islamic thing or if Christians do it, too. The fact is that this is body mutilation carried out under the guise of religious practice. The mistake you keep making is that you assume everyone who criticises genital mutilation only does it to discredit a particular religion instead of, you know, criticising the act of mutilating childrens' genitals because of religion in general. That you are more concerned about someone stepping on a religious person's toes instead of people cutting away body parts off of children for no fucking reason says a lot about you though.

The point was: Stop doing shitty things to children because of your religious beliefs.
