I could never get into the whole "Robin Hood with a weird emo combover" thing, I was in it 100% for Guy of Gisborne, too.

Even Maid Marian and Her Merry Men had a better Robin, and he was also a floppy haired yuppie. That show was more historically accurate too, and they had a rasta merry man.

Hahaha yes this is so true. Maid Marian >>>>> Robin Hood BBC.

My favourite is still Robin of Sherwood though.

Oh you have the finest of taste, anon

IRRC that was pretty much the entire fandom. I tried to watch the show but I couldn’t get past how wooden Robin Hood was and the bizarre modern haircuts in a medieval show. I know it wasn’t even trying to be historically accurate but the hairstyles still gave me pause and just annoyed me.

I know that no Robin Hood show or movie was exactly historically accurate on the old hairstyle front, even with the multiple possible time periods to choose from, but somehow those hairstyles stood out far more than the more popular generic short hair or mullet that are the two most popular choices. If it is set in the past, and you don't want generic short hair, then you can't really go wrong with the mullet.

Lmao I couldn't help the laugh that came out of me at "my favorites: his hanging, his beating, etc etc"

But great taste, OP. I'd watch this just for him! I am guessing he wasn't in EP1 because I would have stayed if I knew I was in for this treat...

I like Robin too, so I also ship them. I actually headcanon the Sheriff harassing Gisborn who then turns to Robin's side.
