To be honest if I saw it now it would take me a while to make that connection and I'm aware of the Jim Crow thing.

The reason?

They ain't crows. I wouldn't even have considered it that off-colour so much as clumsy because black birds with yellow/orange beaks and feet, to me, are Blackbirds. Crows have black beaks and black legs.

I'd genuinely have taken it as a lame blackbird pun.

I mean they straight up call them crows in the movie, but go off.

God, this is my biggest children/animated movie pet peeve. Stop portraying crows and ravens with yellow beaks damn it! The are very, very few types of corvids who have yellow beaks but crows and ravens aren't it.

They are absolutely meant to be crows though.
