I don’t think it’s weird at all. My mother reads summaries almost every day of what happened on soap operas she hasn’t watched in decades, because she’s still interested in what happens to the characters. She just doesn’t want to watch the episodes in real time. Your situation is obviously different, but I think wanting to read up on characters you still like is completely understandable.
