I guess the thought process, from kids who haven't had sex yet, is that they've heard that lube is often waterbased, and sodas are mostly water, ergo... but no. It does not work like that at all. Not even if you get sugar free soda.

As someone who's never heard of this, I was very confused until I read the comments.

At first I thought this was a beer. Then maybe the company had also expanded and moved into making lubricant. And finally, someone was writing decent fic under that name/the company was writing fic where characters were using their lube and OP just whole heartedly disagreed and just wants everyone to have good sex. With proper lubrication.
