Sterling from Leverage. He's technically a good guy, since the cast are thieves, and I love that he's ALWAYS one step ahead of the team.

SA (mid-rewatch of the Two Davids episodes)

I really like Sterling for many reasons. I have to admit that I almost always like Mark Sheppard's characters, they're just charismatic in a way I like. But also... Sterling is smart without being a genius. He's ambitious and petty and far from noble, but he has some principles and sentimentalities. It all adds up to an interesting and compelling antagonist who I was always pleased to see, even knowing that the protagonists would be thwarted or frustrated in some way.
