I think it's an absolutely fascinating concept and I really hope it ends up getting made. It's totally possible that I end up hating it when it actually comes out but I still think it's going to be really interesting to see what it looks like even if I do hate it. Like, just to have an old-school TV guy like JMS making things inside the CW framework, it's just a really interesting thing to see how it plays out.

OP. Same here. Plus, I was hoping that some of the issues that the original series had could be avoided, such as having to replace the main character after the first season (because of the actor's RL illness) or having to truncate the fourth season because they didn't think the show was going to be renewed for a fifth season. So we might even get something that was closer to JMS's original vision for the series.

I think the replacement of O'Hare with Boxleitner worked to the show's benefit though. It meant that there was always a bit of uncertainty hanging over Sheridan at first, and a feeling you couldn't take his presence for granted even when he nailed his colours to the mast. So it really worked to support the political themes in the show. And of course, the significance having Sinclair be the head of the rangers on Mimbar afterwards and his connections to the Great Machine and B4 meant that the world felt bigger and that storyline had more weight too. He was an MC so even though it was only two extra episodes with him and a smattering of cameos, it felt more.

It does suck what happened to O'Hare IRL, but the way JMS handled it worked to the show's benefit. What worked to the show's detriment was JMS little tantrum about being asked to create the character of Keffler. That just made the show seem less, even without knowning the background, and lesser still once you did.
