Eh, I don't really see it as QUITE that black and white.
And i've never seen anyone use that episode as a pivotal character point for HARDISON at all.

I think, personally, it speaks a lot more to Parker's character (and even Elliot's), that they immediately believe that the other three WOULD do whatever they could to get the body out of there, and even if that's a wrong assumption, it speaks to what they think of themselves more than what they know and think of the others.

I agree, but I do think the fandom is apt to take whatever Parker and Elliott say as objective fact about themselves and others than subjective self-esteem issues. It's all over fic.
