looked up what this was about and yeah, I'll just say gay war media made when people pretended gay people existed in pocket universes that were going straight to hell, if they acknowledged they existed at all, is pretty much all like this. like I'm not surprised; those two group are exactly what i'd expect.

in fact I'll go further, and say the historical context in which this book produced interested literary critics only produced them because you could probably only justify your "yas gays!" impulse through intellectual critique, so it's not surprising that people who don't have that context have chosen "yas gays!" outright.
