I don't disagree, in that it's not only reads like the bible in the beginning, but also it's wildly repetitive with generation after generation making the exact same mistake as their forefathers because too much time has passed for them to remember how shitty either Melkor or Sauron is and how much maybe they shouldn't be fucking weird over jewelry.

the Feanor saga is honestly dead funny once you get over how utterly pointless it all was since all the elves eventually drag themselves back to Valinor with zero silmarils even 1000s of years later lmao
