Tbh I don't think I've ever described a character's hair in one of my fics πŸ˜† I guess it's just not something I think about.

Also, what's wrong with side-cuts and under-cuts? I mean, I could never actually maintain one (there's a reason I just buzz my hair myself every 2 weeks or so lol), but they look great on people!

NAYRT it's a popular tactic to call that haircut a "stereotype" for trans and also lesbian and other wlw characters, because anything that's actually popular in those communities like a hair or clothing style is them harmfully stereotyping themselves :(

I mean, it is a stereotype for trans people but it's much more a stereotype for punk.
