I totally agree. That said, I didn't want Spider-Man in the MCU either, and then I ended up loving him. From which I've learned that as much as I think the MCU makes some bad narrative choices, it is also very capable of hitting on the exact right dynamic to make a thing work.

Even if they do manage to make the X-Men work in the MCU, though, I agree with the other commenter who said the MUC's character roster is already pretty full, and they'd be smart if they focused on deepening the audience's investment in those character rn.
