It's difficult for me to describe becsue its 1am and my brain is mush, but: Bond isn't sexy, or vulnerable, or maternal, and he isn't nice.

I can't think of a female character in the genre (apart from maybe Eda) who has been written in a way that doesn't emphasise her sexiness over her physical power. Most of them only have sex with the endgame guy, a lot because he was able to get past her walls and suspicion. Bond can have sex with multiple women per flick and its half fun and half using his sexuality to get someone on his side.

His vulnerabilities and injuries are shoved inside. He's got walls. A lot of female spy characters use their vulnerabilities like knives - they're broken women repurpodong thrir hurt to lash out and take out the bad guys. I'd like to see a woman onscreen who clearly has issues and not have them explained so she can be acceptable and understood and good. Like, fuck it, let a eoman be a charismatic asshole without the lengthy daddy issues!

He isn't confronted with kids every movie (NTTD an exception!) - he doesn't save any, kill any, even have any real interaction with them. His fertility is irrelevant. He's an adult in an adult world. Nobody asks him if he's settled down yet. His permanent batchelor status isn't weird. I can think of multiple female spies who don't have that luxury.

I'm probsbly talking nonsense, I'm off to bed, but tl;dr Bond is a unrepentant asshole hero, I want one that's a woman.

It's not that that's nonsense (I don't think you're wrong about female spies in media), it's just that none of the previous depictions of female spies are required for a female spy, nor are they necessarily true of real female spies in the cold war period, and so it's irrelevant to the discussion of whether you can make a female bond or whether you need a template. Of course you can, and no you don't.

You literally just have to have Judi Dench's M without a husband plot point.
