I hate that match-3 RPGs are a thing. Either have a match-3 game, or an RPG, or a match-3 mini-game inside an RPG. It doesn't make sense to me to have all these elements for a roleplaying game only to have it be a Bejeweled/Candy Crush clone in a pretty skin.

Yes, how dare things be made for a market that exists. Match-3 players should be satisfied with Bejeweled palette-swaps and nothing else. How dare they show any interest in other gaming genres.

The very first match-3 RPGs were actually pretty good - you could use particular combos to cast spells, so you'd have to manipulate the board for more than just "big match!" but of course then everyone got on that train.

I'm so confused. What does the gameplay have to do with the RPG aspect? You can slap RPG mechanics onto literally anything and it'll work. Shooter RPG, turn-based RPG, action RPG... why not match-3 RPG?

Yeah, they are bit annoying. I am into mindless games and it's jarring when you have to do rpg stuff when you are just trying to play while listening to podcast or are doing depression gaming

I think you could easily have a female James Bond but the key is that you can't worry at all about her being sympathetic or kind. It has to be just 100% "she's a badass, she's kind of an asshole, and it fucking rules".

I still don't get how people didn't understand why this was a ship. Rivals-to-lovers, red-oni-blue-oni, etc is SUCH common shipping fodder. Hell, they even had a "locked in an elevator half-naked" episode and had to Emperor's-New-Groove their way out.

... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and I'll try my best to use an appropriate image choice. Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.
