Loads! It’s partly from keeping my books forever but deciding to buy the digital version sometime in the last ten years or so. But there are some series I’ve gotten into in recent years and originally got one way and then decided I also wanted a copy the other way for whatever reason (missing artwork but tons of typos in the digital copy, or getting a paperback either as a gift or because it was cheaper than the e-book but loving it so much I wanted a more portable copy).

Hee. I own a lot of digital copies of books I've always had in hard copy. But today is the first time I've ordered physical copies of books I've previously only enjoyed digitally.

There are books that I have both physical and electronic copies of, yeah.

Usually it's because my physical copy is inaccessible and I want to have a copy I can easily get to if I want to quickly look something up, or just read some little favorite bit.

Understanding Comics - The Invisible Art, by Scott McCloud.

Just that one, but I'm happy that I can read it whenever I want.

I mostly made the switch to buying (contracts for access to) ebooks a few years ago out of fear of dying under a book avalanche, and now only buy hard copies of stuff I really love or that is image heavy and impractical to read on my phone.

But I also went back and bought a few of my comfort reads as ebooks--lots of Pratchett, Robin McKinley, and Lois McMaster Bujold, and some of Naomi Novik's books.

And then there are the T. Kingfisher aka Ursula Vernon books that I love and bought as ebooks for myself and print volumes for my local library, which usually only purchases through Baker and Taylor and so doesn't generally buy from small press publishers. They mostly don't even add stuff to their collection that isn't available through B&T.

This is a problem and means they only had her kids books published under her real name and her horror books published under T. Kingfisher, I think through Saga/Tor.

So first I got a branch manager hooked on her ebooks by comparing them to Bujold, who she loves. Then I bought the books and she emailed back and forth with the person in charge of cataloging/collection development. Then the books got added.

And now several have wait lists, heh. If I won the lotto I'd buy them more copies.

As someone who loves libraries and makes use of them frequently, thank you so much for contributing to your local library.

I will say - I believe that morally, you should have a pretty much unlimited right to download an electronic copy of a book if you own a physical copy of it already. I know that's not the state of law but that's how it seems to me.

Zero because I have zero trust that my bought content wont be removed ever.
(Same goes for movies and series I like - i dont trust streamers or buying digital. If i want to have stuff forever, i have a physical copy)

This is why I strip the DRM from every digital media I own.
The only exeption to this rule are Spotify and Netflix because they're streaming services, but sometimes I torrent Netflix movies or TV series I particularly like. I pay the subscription every month, but I'm not sure I'll forever have access to that content, so pirating it is.
This is especially true for videogames (if I can, I buy from GOG and download the setup.exe since it's already DRM free) and books (calibre + no DRM plugin is your friend), I strip the DRM or pirate them to have my own copy safe from deletion.

Yes!

These tend to fall into two categories: books I write fic for (Good Omens, Tolkien, Sherlock Holmes, Locked Tomb) and books that I backed the Kickstarter for and so receive both the paper and the e-versions for my pledge.
