And that's it really, as far as I can tell. I'm personally still grateful for what he started, no matter how much I cringe at certain episodes of TOS and so on.

(Anonymous) 2022-03-03 05:41 am (UTC)(link)But as a result of there being so many Gen Z’ers(just like there’s so many people that make up every other generation of course), the type of people that make it up vary wildly. And some Gen Z’ers are more of a step back than a step forward. But Millennials were kind of the same way. Many Millennials went further in their activism than Gen X, upholding the tradition, but many weren’t nearly as progressive as a lot of Gen X’ers were.
That’s why it’s wrong to generalize an entire generation. There’s too much variation, too much good and bad examples to paint them all with the same broad brush. I just wish the Gen Z’ers who are still trying to make the “Generation War” a thing would get that memo. Because OK-Boomering Millennials and Gen X’ers is helping nobody, at least when the people they’re slinging that phrase at clearly don’t have a Boomer mindset. Because when even some Boomers don’t have the obnoxious Boomer mindset that led to OK Boomer being coined, people should really be more choosy in who they OK Boomer. And obviously, the Generation War is just stupid in general.

I swear, they get more annoying every week.

This for some reason reminded me of that meme that's been making the rounds again about how medieval men hated the vikings because they bathed once a week and combed their hair and therefore were so appealing that their women were tempted away from them.
Cause you know, I have definitely seen that kind of guy at anime conventions and on Twitter.
