Dave Barry’s Book of Bad Songs is even more of a treasure trove now that all the songs have been forgotten. You can inflict them on an entire generation that has never known the horrors of Muskrat Love.

And yeah, MacArthur Park is a terrible metaphor stretched to its breaking point. The singing would probably sound pretty if you didn’t understand English, but why would anyone attempt that metaphor?
