Duolingo so I can work on my Spanish at random times. Other than that, I don't have many aps. The one I use most is google maps really.

Spotify.

I spend the most time in the games, Pokemon Go, Final Fantasy Record Keeper, and Animal Crossing Pocket Camp.

Gasbuddy and Google Maps saved my butt back when there wasn't a pandemic and I was driving across multiple states for conventions a few times a year. The various hotel chain apps are great too - mobile check-in and use your phone as your room key!

Other than that I mostly just use apps for various chain stores I shop at. Meijer's and Jo-Ann's are pretty good.

I like Clue for tracking my period. It might be superficial, but I really appreciate that it isn't all pink or pastel coloured. It doesn't put a focus on fertility, which is nice as an asexual person who doesn't care about that. It's also free and pretty straight-forward once you get the hang of it.

I also like chill, aesthetically pleasing games. My favourites are...
- Gorogoa (this is even better on a full screen)
- Osmos
- Kotoro

WPS Office (word processor/pdf reader)
Google Maps
Pocketcast (for podcasts)

Honorable mention: Libby, to read library ebooks.

Oooh, yes, I forgot about Libby. I love that it does audiobooks too.

Non-game apps I use so much include Cozi, Tasty, MealBoard & AnyList

XD What gets a workout once a year would be the Girl Scout Cookie Finder.

My first thought was who has favorite phone apps what the hell. I stand corrected having read this thread. Apparently people do care about such a thing. Huh.

I’m surprised that you’re surprised that people could have phone apps that they particularly like or could consider favorites. And I’m surprised you don’t have any too. I mean, with the hundreds of apps out there, and the wide variety of subjects they’re about and purposes they serve, how is that shocking that people can favor some over others? Finding an app fun or useful is all it takes, it’s not that complicated.

I mean, some apps have value and people use them to study, manage their mental/physical well being and entertain themselves. Some apps are interchangable, but some stay with people for YEARS and because cherisced habits.
It's like having a favourite website, game or tool.

I don't have many apps on my phone because I try not to waste too much time on my smartphone, but I have some apps that I absolutely adore and will stay with me until they stay availbale (I hope forever, sigh):
-Anki: I speak Japanese so I've used it on my PC for 10+ years and on my phone since 2014. The first app I downloaded on my first smartphone! At the moment I keep it mainly to review kanjis because I always forget them. I also write new cards when I need to remember something specific, even not related to Japanese.
-Money Lover: I've used this every time I spend money to keep memos of my spending for 7 years now and it's the ONLY app I've spent money on because I wanted to give credit to the devs.
-ReadEra: The best ebook reader in my opinion. I've been using it for 2+ years and I'm considering buying the premium version just to support the devs, since the upgrade is not really necessary for me.
-Love Live! School Idol Festival: The only game app that I have on my phone. I have an account made in 2015 and I have finally got ALL the card I wanted for my fav idol (Nozomi) two months ago around new year! A few years back I deleted the app for a few months because it because an obsession, but nowadays more times than not I just log in to get the daily prizes and I do not play any song. I still enjoy some of the events, tough. I've been completely Free to Play and still got all the cards I wanted because I was very patient with my gems! :D
