I genuinely keep wondering if anyone's been considering or plotting just taking him out. I know that would be risky as hell for a whole host of reasons, but it would not surprise me if that option's been floated at some point by somebody, even in a non-serious manner.

I've been joking that the money the eu wants to forward to military measures would be better spent on some good uh, professionals.
downside is, he probably has lots of safeguards in case of untimely demise and youd have to take out all his sympathizers and the corrupt police/military

Yeah, that'd be a big hurdle for sure, trying to get past whatever protective detail he's got and everything. Still, people have managed to do that in the past when other leaders have been taken out, so... I'm sure if someone can find a way to try, they'd at least consider going that route.

And hell, I'm not even expecting someone from one of the other countries to do it, though I wouldn't be surprised if they did try. I keep wondering if someone within his circle, or his country in general, will try to take him down. I could see one of his rich inner circle people plotting against him, depending on how much of an impact this war winds up having on them financially and whatnot.

when i say safeguards, i meant protocols like "when I'm assasinated take out person xyz" or "launch rocket abc" as a vengenace act.

I do agree on that maybe ges getting off-ed by his own. I'd actually prefer it, so it's their own action and not meddling from "the west"
