Meadowphoenix has been guilty of telling people they’re just confused when that’s clearly not the case more than a couple times before, and a lot of the time it is when they get caught being hypocritical, this is true. Or at least, that’s how it’s seemed to go down from the perspective of someone who can’t actually read their mind.

But in this particular case, I don’t know whether it is actually hypocrisy. Or if it is, it’s not really equal hypocrisy. Being a famous songwriter writing a song about the famous family you’re interested in, while you’re dating a member of that family, isn’t really the same as some complete outsider speculating about the character of a famous person based on the available information that outsiders have been given. Meadowphoenix hasn’t really claimed to know if their judgements about Taylor are completely correct either, it’s just their own personal judgements, and they’ve been clear about that. So the hypocrisy that they might be displaying is so unequal and small as to feel inconsequential to me.

But I don’t really disagree with you that there isn’t really anything suspect about the relationship between Kennedy and Taylor, as far as it being nothing illegal and with no foul play involved. I don’t really think the age gap is a big deal either, it’s quite small. Although I respect their opinion that the lived experiences of a high schooler and a working woman are different enough to be off putting to them, even though I don’t know if I agree. At least as far as Kennedy barely being in highschool for much longer as an 18 year old at the time is concerned.

And I do agree with them about the clout-chasing, especially after they explained all of the different types of clout out there. That was an interesting read, with a perspective that I had never considered before.

So I get where both of you are coming from, while agreeing and disagreeing with certain aspects, is I guess what I’m saying. I know this comment isn’t useful to anyone, but *shrug*.
