Saaame, OP. It's weird because I am all about "pretty" guys. The you-could-easily-imagine-them-as-an-anime-character looks is my jam. So it's not that I feel like long hair "isn't masculine enough" or anything like that. Definitely not. I just...don't like it. *shrugs*

I can get past it, if the character is compelling--and it also helps a lot if the actor it charismatic. For instance, I find Tom Hiddleston extremely charismatic, so Loki is attractive to me (in his Absolute Nightmare way), regardless of his long hair. But it's very much not my preference.

I've been reading a lot of Drarry fic lately, and a lot of people seem to have a thing for giving Draco--and often Harry, too--long hair, and every single time it comes up I'm just like, Nope! Lalalala, Ididn'treadthat, moving on!!

(Obviously whatever guys do with their hair irl is absolutely none of my business, the person who's opinion matters is the person whose hair it is. This should go without saying but you just never know.)

Who are your "so-pretty-they're-alost-anime" guys? I'm into pretty guys who also have long hair (i.e. Willy Cartier) so I'm always looking for more inspiration. As far as long hair goes in HP, Sirius has shoulder length (maybe a little longer in the marauder era), Remus has I guess chin/neck length hair, and Lucius has beautiful long hair. That's it. So I'm on the same page of don't give Harry/Draco long hair. Ew.
