I can't speak from a POV of anything other than high myopia (my eyes settled in my 30s at around -7.5 each) but I kinda feel this. Although I will say I find my eyesight more annoying than anything else, needing to put my glasses on as soon as I wake or having to put contact lenses in for the entire day.

I try to ignore the fact that in a lot of my favourite media, the plot involves stuff where I'd probably run out of lenses eventually or have to hope my glasses don't break or else I'd probably be screwed. I guess characters with visual challenges who still get by despite that are definitely an inspiration!

I'm sure from what you've said your vision is probably my challenging than my "waah I am very short sighted" but just wanted to say, I appreciate your worries and I'm glad you found a way to feel positive about it and may your hobbies and career go from strength to strength.
