A writer whose writings I admire a lot has left 2 extremely kind comments on 2 of my fics. Their writing, I feel, is infinitely, way, way, waaay better than mine, it's such a...good and surreal feeling knowing they like my writings. 🥲

Funnily enough, they liked one of my fics first and left a nice comment. I clicked on their account, read some of their fics (they've written a lot!!) and was blown away by their works (excited to read more of their works)! A few days later they left another nice comment on one of my other fics even though I'd only left a kudos on one of their fics at that point. To know that someone who's written so many great fics found even one of my fics good is so like "OMG!!"

Isn't it great when that happens :D? Just such a thrill. That's really cool, and I'd say that speaks quite well of your writing in turn :).

It's snowing lightly here- and I'm happy about that. :)

I sprouted seeds from a pepper I grew in my yard and got super high germination, and I found a ton of garden salamanders (in my park strip?!) yesterday and saw an osprey. Idk it felt like a real "nature is healing" day.

My cat and I just took a very nice 4 hour nap.

Naptime with cats (or pets in general, really) is the best way to de-stress :).

I picked the exact right time to actually go into Jo-Ann Fabrics for the first time since summer 2020 this morning. I figured best option for minimizing covid exposure would be right when they opened, unless there was a weekend sale...

Well, it was 9am Saturday, it was 17 degrees and windy out, and there was not a weekend sale apparently. I got to the store and there were only three vehicles in the lot, which presumably belonged to the three employees inside, all masked. So I took my time and browsed around, picked up some bunny stuff from the Easter section as well as the fabric dye and thread I needed. It was nice.

And my dye experiments did not go perfectly but they went well enough I can live with it, and my ridiculous newest bunny wanted to help and made me laugh so hard by perching on the toilet to look over my shoulder at what I was doing in the tub, and at one point jumping head first into an empty bucket, so his big feet and fluffy tail were sticking up in the air wiggling around. He's like a freaking cartoon character.

Animal supervision is very important. Our supervisors must be aware of everything we're doing at all times so they can make sure we are doing it right. I for one don't function well without my supervisor.

I admit that for awhile I had to close one of mine in the bedroom because rather than supervising he took advantage of my hands being busy to knock over the food container in the hallway. ;)

Haha. We've had to start hiding treats inside multiple bags and then behind things in the cabinet. My kitty has several times gotten into the closet and then into the bag. If they aren't packed up tight and she can smell the treats, she will get to them.

i made a change to my work schedule after i fell sick at the end of'21, abd i feel it's actually taking effect. I feel so much more energy, my apartment is way cleaner, i eat and sleep better.

the place I got takeout dinner from tonight was giving out free ice cream so I brought some back for my friends.
