Yup, queue a bunch of triggered Americans...
The difference is there does overall seem to be an attitude from America that they are the 'best country on the planet!' despite there being major flaws in their system.
As an Aussie, I'm sick of being portrayed as backwater hicks in American media and generally online, when the majority of us live in cities and are pretty sophisticated. Do we have our share of idiots? Absolutely! just look up "Pauline Hanson' and her pathetic followers. Ugh! Tony Abbott was voted in and he's the biggest dick out there. Even our current PM 'ScoMo' is embarassing.
Again, the difference is that Aussies don't go around pronouncing to the planet that we are the best country out there.
I'm sorry to triggered Americans, but I see it constantly online. The USA has great, welcoming friendly people and there are many positives to their society. But there are also negatives. The moment anyone dares point out the negatives a bunch of people get triggered and get all defensive.

A lot of people do more than that, and paint every American with the same brush. You’re obviously not though, so I’m not talking about you. But I appreciate where you’re coming from, because you are correct. I have seen the jingoistic fervor from other Americans about being “the best country in the world”, which is obviously bs. These overly patriotic assholes are the worst, and they treat any fellow Americans that criticize parts of the country with a “leave if you don’t like it attitude”.

And the fact that other countries are stereotyped by Americans is stupid, completely.

That’s an incredibly backwards way of thinking, and is absolutely not how any of this works. That’s especially not what sanctions work. And real presumptuous of you to assume that you’re not talking to someone who’s doing all they can as someone who’s not in the government to fight in order to pressure the government to change.

I really hope this is a joke, and it just went over my head. Because if it’s not, it’s almost as bad as the anon who has it out for every Russian citizen, including the innocent ones.

Interesting, I didn't realize every person triggered in this thread, including yourself, was an American. Most of the responses are anon; you have no idea if it's between two people or fifteen, or if one American or multiple were "triggered."

I'm sure you'll claim you're not triggered, so I'll take your word for it.

I really don't care if people point out negative shit about America. I'd probably agree for the most part. It's the sanctimoniousness and hypocrisy that pisses me off (obviously, not on the point that some Americans think USA is the greatest country in the world).
