Fictional creatures

Let's try again. What are your favorite creatures and species from fiction and mythology?

Owlbears, definitely, from fiction. I don't know why, just they are the perfect blend of weird and awesome.

In mythology, I'd like to see a kelpie. From a safe distance, of course.

Dragons. Always dragons.

Gryphons are also very cool.

I always love dragons the best. Some are sapient, some aren't, but all are awesome.

Balrogs are another one that can be sapient or not depending on which one we're talking about. The most powerful like Gothmog are sapient, but the ones like Durin's Bane that come later don't seem to be.

For other creatures, I like porgs, phoenixes, anything Lovecraftian, Ysalamiri, Adipose (so cute), Tribbles, the nonsapient werewolves of Tolkien, sandworms of Dune, T-Rex and Raptors from Jurassic Park, Hydra, and Basilisk (and any fictional snake creatures really).

For species, I love vampires, Narn, Minbari, Klingons, Changelings, Romulans, Borg, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Zabraks, Mon Calamari, Time Lords, The Silence, Ood, Satyrs, Kree, Asgardians, Celestials

Elves and dwarves and hobbits (Tolkien-style) (they're all equally great)
Mothmen
Bigfoots (and yetis, and Sasquatches)
Aliens (little grey men)
Specifically the version of bigfoots where they're also interdimensional aliens
Phoenixes
Vampires (both sexy and non-sexy varieties)
Werewolves (both sexy and non-sexy varieties)
Goblins

I always loved creatures like Dragons, Faries, Griffins, Hippogriffs, Hippocampus, Chimera, Medusa, Kelpie, and Selkie.

Some favorite Species/Groups are Cybertronians, Cardassians, Klingons, Mandalorians, Tusken Raiders, Banthas, Tauntauns, Those Who Came Before, Vampires, and Were-Creatures.

Cardassians are great. IMO the best Star Trek race by far.
