I know they get hate from some metal fans who think they aren't real metal. Do they get other hate as well?

They're a heavy metal band that sings about military history and the unfortunate reality is that both heavy metal and military history have huge problems with Nazis and fascists in their fanbases. So Sabaton gets tarred with the same brush sometimes.

I've heard about that happening. It seems really weird to me since all their songs dealing with WWII/Nazis/that era are very, very anti-Nazi.

My in to Sabaton was stumbling upon their song celebrating non-British RAF pilots in the Battle of Britain, so I would not suspect them of being Nazi. Although I do get that the other thing happens.

Huh? The first Sabaton song I ever heard was one praising heroic RAF pilots. I therefore didn't assume Sabaton are Nazis. ???

Don’t worry about them, they misunderstood you. Although with the mental gymnastics it takes to come to the conclusion they did, it almost feels like willful misunderstanding.
